uRefer SMS Referral Programs

How uRefer’s SMS program Works:

The uRefer SMS platform works by reacting to a number different keywords, sent to a custom phone number by an advocate.  uRefer tracks these keywords and processes them through our RMS engine.  Based on the keywords sent by the advocate, uRefer performs different actions and responds to users with custom messages back. 

For a quick example, an advocate might type JOIN to opt into a mobile program.  Upon receiving the JOIN command, uRefer will register this user as an advocate and send them an sms back, welcoming them to the program.  From there, the advocate is given a series of instructions on how to refer their friends.

uRefer offers 2 types SMS Referral programs

Mobile Only

  1. User is instructed how the program works and opts in by sending a text to a mobile number.
  2. The user is sent instructions on how to refer friends.
  3. Status updates and new offers are sent to the advocate completely through texts.

Online and Mobile

  1. An advocate is registered into the web-based uRefer platform with their mobile number.
  2. Advocates then choose to opt-in into the mobile program. 
  3. Advocates can make both online, offline, and mobile referrals.
  4. Updates can be made to advocates both online and via sms.

The uRefer Process

  1. An advocate learns about the mobile program, either through online or offline methods.
  2. The advocate chooses to opt-in into the mobile program by texting a keyword to the program’s phone number.
  3. uRefer tracks the mobile advocate and generates a series of “Welcome” messages introducing the advocate to the program and explaining how to use it.
  4. The advocate then uses their mobile network (phone and email contacts) to spread the offer.

The entire mobile process is powered through uRefer’s RMS which enables tracking of activity performed by an advocate.  Additionally, messages sent to an advocate can also be tracked to correlate real time activity and is displayed within uRefer’s analytical reports. 

Features
